Safeen feeder vessels under Abu Dhabi Ports Group begin service from UAE to China. The new ship service will start from Abu Dhabi Khalifa Port to three ports in China. UAE-India-Gulf cargo ships will also start service soon

Safin feeder ships will directly connect China’s Shanghai, Qingdao and Ningbo ports to Abu Dhabi Khalifa Port on a monthly basis. Newly procured Safeen Power vessels will be used for this purpose. These ships have a cargo capacity of 3400 TEU. Recently India East Coast Express was launched connecting the ports of Chennai in India, Singapore and Colombo in Sri Lanka.

The new service is taking into account the possibility that UAE-China cargo exchange will increase tenfold in the coming days. Last year, the UAE’s trade with China was over $75.6 billion. Currently, there are more than 6,000 Chinese companies operating in the UAE. Apart from India-Sri Lanka-Singapore service, Safin also started UAE-Sudan service this year. Safeen officials also said that UAE-Oman and UAE-India-Gulf services will start soon.
