In November 2019, the rapper Vald filled the hall of the Accor Arena, in Paris, for the first time in his life. A grandiose concert for the young rapper, widely acclaimed in the press. Two years later, however, Vald confided that the evening had made him lose 500,000 euros. And it seems that this example is not an isolated case. Since 2015, the number of rappers programmed at the Accor Arena has almost quadrupled (PNL, Orelsan, Laylow, Jul, etc.). However, producing an ambitious show has a cost, which the sale of tickets is often very far from covering. But for rappers, this is a multi-cushioned billiard shot.
