A blow to Rami Levy: why did his autonomous supermarket fail?

by time news

The first store was opened as part of a venture between Avi Katz, who brought the coffee revolution (Cofix) to Israel, and Rami Levy, the owner of the retail chain. The store had innovative technology, which eliminated the need for employees since a customer could enter, take a product and leave. The bill will be sent to his mobile using the technology implemented in the store.

Precisely the same technology that formed the basis of the supermarket’s activity is the one that failed the project and not because it failed. The technology belongs to an Israeli startup called Save-Org and it is now known that a conflict has erupted between the owner Erez Gur and the chain’s entrepreneurs Katz and Levy.
