The 35th anniversary commemoration of martyr Thileepan, who took his own life, will be held in Melbourne on Sunday 25th of September. Dileepan, an armed freedom fighter, fought in a righteous way, seeking justice for the people of Tamil Eelam from the nation of Gandhi.
Dileepan’s journey to present five demands that needed to be resolved immediately was a noble commitment to our freedom struggle. We cordially invite everyone to participate in the commemoration of the sacrificial lamp that burned itself for twelve days.
