ROMA. Jannik Sinner’s adventure at the Vienna tournament stops one step away from the final.

The South Tyrolean was stopped by Frances Tiafoe in the semi-final of the ATP 500 at the end of a match that lasted 2 hours and 18 minutes.

After a positive start for the South Tyrolean, the American No. 49 in the world has made a comeback, even making a show, winning the match in three sets (3-6, 7-5, 6-2).

Now Tiafoe is preparing to challenge the other finalist, the German # 4 in the world Alexander Zverev.

Sinner is now eighth in the ATP ranking and therefore currently qualified for the Finals in Turin, but everything will depend on how Bercy goes in the Paris tournament and on what the players just behind him in the standings will do.
