On the occasion of the Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the new title in the franchise. It will be available in 2023 on consoles, PCs and streaming services. Additionally, the company unveiled the brand’s future program with two new core HD games, Codename RED and Codename HEXXE, as part of the Codename Infinity hub, plus AAA mobile game, Codename Jade, and more. on the collaboration with Netflix. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Luna, as well as for Windows PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. To access the game it will also be possible to subscribe to Ubisoft +. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set in Baghdad at the height of its golden age. The protagonist is Basim Ibn Is’haq, a street thief with a mysterious past, who will join the Occult in Alamut on a mission in search of answers. In the original version, Basim’s mentor Roshan will be voiced by Emmy-winning actress Shohreh Aghdashloo. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a tribute to the series and a particularly special tribute to the first Assassin’s Creed, as it shares part of the setting.
Also, during the Assassin’s Creed Showcase, the future of the brand was revealed. The two new flagship games in HD, Codename Red and Codename Hexe, will be part of Codename Infinity. This latest project will connect episodes and players across different types of experiences, which will include existing Assassin’s Creed games and future titles. As part of Codename Infinity, multiplayer will return as an independent experience in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is an action-adventure RPG for mobile platforms set in ancient China. Players will be able to create their own character and discover the story of the first Assassins in China. It will be playable for free with controls designed specifically for the game on smartphones and tablets. The live-action Assassin’s Creed series produced by Ubisoft Film & Television and Netflix will be a multi-genre adaptation of the video game franchise. But the collaboration does not end there, as Netflix is also collaborating on an Assassin’s Creed video game, which will be available exclusively on its platform. “In celebrating the 15th anniversary of the franchise, we wanted to not only honor our players and all the people who worked on the brand, but also share our ambitions for the future of Assassin’s Creed with all fans.
