In April 1945, the Soviets launch what is probably the largest artillery attack of all time. Over a million Red Army soldiers, thousands of tanks and an armada of heavy artillery are advancing on the German capital after the Red Army retook all of Poland in January. The collapse of the Third Reich can no longer be stopped. The bitter street fighting in Berlin ended the 12-year reign of terror of the National Socialists and opened a new chapter in history.
