Franco-Spanish singer Jorge Dunn has died at the age of 82.

According to El Pais, the artist died in the hospital of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Madrid, where he was scheduled for hip surgery.

Georges Dunn was born in 1940 in Paris, but spent a significant part of his life in Spain. The years of the singer’s career fell on the 60-80s, many songs performed by Dunn became hits, for example, El casatschok (“Kazachok”) in 1969. In the USSR, the singer gained great popularity thanks to the 1980 song Moscu (“Moscow”). In Spain, the artist became famous as a performer of “summer hits” – songs with an easy to remember motive, which become popular for one holiday season.
