Sensex, Nifty end at 5-month high Nifty support at 18000

Indian stock markets closed Tuesday’s (Sep 13) session with a five-month high. The national stock market crossed 18 thousand.

In today’s trade, the BSE Sensex closed up 456 points (0.8 per cent) at 60,571.
Shares of HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv and Bharti Airtel were the gainers.
Asian Paints, Dr. Shares of Reddy’s Lab, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki and TCS suffered losses.
In this, TCS shares fell as much as 0.37 percent (Rs 11.9).

National Stock Exchange

Against the National Stock Exchange, Nifty ended the trade up 133.70 (0.75 percent) at 18070.05. Stocks of Adani Port and Special, Apollo Hospitals, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv posted gains.

Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, PPCL, Cipla, Coal India did not dip into corporate profits. In today’s trade, the shares of Bajaj Finserv rose as much as 4.14 per cent to settle at Rs 1784.75.
