One-sided victory over Nepal; India SAFF U-17 Football Champions- India wins SAFF U-17 Football Championship

New Delhi: India retained the SAFF U-17 football title. India beat Nepal by four one-sided goals in the final held in Colombo.

India’s goal scorers are Bobby Singh, Koro Singh, Captain Vanlalpeka Gutte and Aman. Aman also scored the fourth goal in injury time for India who were leading 3-0 in the 18th, 30th and 63rd minutes.

India won the title by dominating throughout the match. India also managed to avenge their 3-1 loss to Nepal in the group stage. In the 39th minute, Nepal captain Prashant Laksham was sent off for a foul on India’s Danny Laishram, who were reduced to 10 men.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur congratulated the Indian team for retaining the title.
