The new national emblem of Qatar has been launched with many features and innovations. The new national emblem has been released by the Government Communications Office. The new logo has been designed to evoke the country’s rich culture and heritage. The symbols in the emblem also represent the bright future of the country.
The logo has been redesigned keeping the same elements used in the previous logo. This is the first time since 1976 that the national emblem is being modernized.
The national emblem incorporates the emblem of the first traditional motor-powered boat in Qatar’s history, the ‘Fath Al Khair’, and the sea, which is the most important part of Qatari heritage. The ocean was once the main source of income for the country. And three sides of the country are surrounded by ocean. The new symbol highlights the importance of the sea in Qatar’s economic development.
The sword in the symbol is embodied as a symbol of pride, strength, care and safety. Also, another face of the country, the palm tree, has been incorporated into the new symbol.
