Ukraine has completed all the procedures under the Minsk agreements for the use of the Bayraktar drone in Donbass, said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba. Kiev bought drones from Ankara and used them for the first time at the end of October.
“As far as the use of Bayraktar is concerned, Ukraine has fulfilled all the procedures stipulated by the agreements in the Trilateral Contact Group, which are applied in such cases before striking. For one simple reason: because that side did not stop its aggressive actions and shelling, ”said Mr. Kuleba to the“ 1 + 1 ”TV channel.
According to the minister, Kiev’s position is weighed, but he answers if his positions are hit. “And it was just such a case. Because you cannot allow the enemy to feel unpunished, ”he added.
The situation in Donbass has worsened after the use of the Bayraktar drone by Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that their use does not violate the ceasefire agreement. OSCE observers claimed that the ceasefire was violated twice as often as in 2020 following the use of the drone.
