Summer and its many unprecedented heat peaks are coming to an end: if the sky clears this Saturday, temperatures drop inexorably. The maximum will be between 16 and 20 degrees in the north of the country, between 18 and 23 in the south, up to 25 to 27 on the shore of the Big Blue, 28 to 30 on the eastern side of Corsica.
Showers in the Grand-Est and the Alps, a strong wind in the Mediterranean
A few showers will be expected in the Grand-Est and also, at the start of the day, in the northern Alps, the rain-snow limit dropping to around 1,500 m.
The clouds present on the side of the Piedmont and the Pyrenees chain will break up in the morning. Over the rest of the country, the sky will most often be clear, the clouds will be a little more present in Nord-Pas de Calais, Champagne, Burgundy and Rhône-Alpes.
The wind will be strong in the Mediterranean, the Tramontane will blow from 60 to 70 km/h then will run out of steam at midday, the westerly wind will reach 90 to 100 km/h or even 110 in the most exposed areas of Corsica , before dropping in the afternoon. The Mistral will remain established around 70 to 90 km/h in the morning, 60 to 70 in the second part of the day.
