Another setback for St-Etienne who lost 2-1 on the lawn of Guingamp, Bordeaux found the taste of victory at home against Dijon (2-1).

The 9th day of Ligue 2 started with two great posters made up of a square of former residents of Ligue 1: Bordeaux against Dijon and Guingamp against St-Etienne.

Bordeaux bounced back and regained the lead in the championship with a victory after regulation time against Dijon (2-1). After quickly opening the scoring in the 8th minute through Josh Maja, the Bordelais were surprised by Mickael Le Bihan (71st). Georgian striker Zuriko Davitashvili scored the winning goal in the 87th minute and delivered Bordeaux. The Girondins are putting pressure on Sochaux, leader at the start of the day and who can come back in front if they draw at least their stadium against Nîmes (7:00 p.m.). Dijon chained a fourth defeat in a row.

After his great home victory against Bordeaux last week (2-0), St-Étienne did not continue and lost 2-1 to Guingamp despite the reduction of the gap at the end of the match by Victor Lobry (81st) . Goals from Gaetan Courtet (45th) and Jeremy Livolant (59th) were enough for the EAG to return to the top 3. The Greens remain 15th in Ligue 2.

Laurent Batlles’ men still escape the relegation zone thanks to a better goal difference. But with only 7 points, they are under direct threat from all their pursuers.
