567 luxury bags 423 watches seized from ex-PM of Malaysia: total value Rs 2,175 crore

KUALA LUMPUR: A search conducted at former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s house has found 567 expensive bags, 423 watches and 14 turbans worth $273 million worth of luxury items. Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has been accused of embezzling billions of crores from MTP, the state investment fund, during his tenure. Following this, the anti-corruption unit raided his houses and offices. He was convicted and sentenced to prison.

In this case, 567 expensive bags and 423 wrist watches were confiscated during the search conducted at his house. Also, 14 turbans were seized. The total value of these is Rs.2,175 crore. Razak’s wife Rosma Mansar (70) is the modern-day Lady Macbeth of Southeast Asia. She has forced her husband to handle government funds for her luxury expenses. A pink diamond penton is the most important of the luxury items that Rosma bought. Her handbags are bought from Hermes, a famous luxury brand.
