Xiaomi continues to expand its range of projectors that are not considered too well known among the general public due to their high price, and now with Projector Mini it is trying to change the image a little, literally.

The new model, as it is called, is a scaled down version of the original projector as it is designed for portability and weighs only 1.2 kg. It is operated by remote control through the smartphone with the initial connection being made through NFC connectivity and is able to operate for two continuous hours using the built-in battery.

Xiaomi Projector Mini enables display projection on a 30- to 120-inch screen in a low quality of 720p, with automatic focus and a standard brightness of 250 lumens. It contains an 8 watt speaker and you can use an external speaker with a 3.5 mm connection or Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. There is also a USB 2.0 connection, content streaming via WiFi and everything is controlled via the MIUI OS operating system.

The Amlogic T972 quad-core projector, along with 2 gigabytes of memory and 16 gigabytes of storage, is priced at around 500 dollars, half the price compared to the larger model, and is already available for purchase through AliExpress.
