In the Tambov reserves – protected natural areas – they are preparing for the winter. This is reported in the department for environmental protection and nature management of the region.
So, the huntsmen maintain in the necessary condition 23 feeders and 82 salt licks for feeding wild animals. More than 5 km of clearings were also cleared. In addition, experts carry out raids and strengthen control over the observance of the protected regime.
More animals will survive the winter in the protected areas of the region than in previous years. Thus, the specialists of the department noted an increase in the partridge population, an increase in the number of elk, roe deer, martens, squirrels, and white hares. In general, according to the results of last year, the total number of protected species of animals increased by 436 individuals in the reserves – up to 4063.
