Elizabeth II (96), England’s longest reigning queen, died on the 8th at Balmoral Palace in Scotland. His funeral will take place today at Westminster Abbey in London. Here is some important information about it…
* Tributes to Queen Elizabeth ended at 6.30 am today. After that, the funeral rites begin.
*Queen Elizabeth’s funeral will begin today at 3.30 pm IST. These rituals seem to last exactly 1 hour.
* After 57 years, this is the first state funeral to be held in London. Finally, in 1965, the funeral of Winston Churchill, the late wartime Prime Minister, took place.

After the prayers there, the coffin containing the Queen’s body will be lowered into an underground burial chamber at Windsor Castle known as the ‘Royal Vault’.
