As we posted a few weeks ago, Asus launched two more gaming phones in its current generation, the ROG 6D. The current launch includes two phones, the ROG 6D and the ROG 6D Ultimate, and in both the D comes to indicate that they are based on MediaTek’s high-performance Dimensity 9000+ processors instead of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors in the previous round. The differences between the two are the maximum amount of memory with which the device can be purchased, 16/256 gigabytes in the basic version compared to 16/512 gigabytes in the Ultimate version, and also that the display on the back is based on RGB-LED in the case of 6D and PMOLED in the case of the advanced version More.
Another significant difference is that ROG 6D Ultimate is equipped with the AeroActive Portal cooling module based on a motorized hinge that knows how to slightly open the back of the phone in certain places to improve air flow when connecting to it the external cooling kit AeroActive Cooler 6 which in its case is part of the kit.
Beyond that, there are no differences compared to the original ROG 6. The OLED screen has a size of 6.78 inches with a color depth of 10 bits and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and with support for HDR10+. The battery has a working volume of 5,000 mAh with support for charging at a maximum of 65 watts.
The camera system also remains the same: a 12-megapixel selfie camera, a main rear camera with a 50-megapixel sensor and an f/1.9 key, a wide-angle camera on a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
The devices will be sold in gray colors only with a starting price of approximately $910 and approximately $1,370 respectively, with the price of the external cooling unit estimated at approximately $90, and as mentioned is part of the Ultimate version’s price.
