The incident in which a student was taking a bath in the IIT Mumbai hostel was taken by a staff member.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim student, the Mumbai Police has arrested the person who was working in the IIT canteen and is investigating.
A video of female students taking a bath in a hostel in Punjab’s Chandigarh University has created a stir across the country. The police department arrested the concerned student and her male friend in this connection.

Before the reverberations of this incident subsided, another similar incident took place in the IIT Mumbai hostel.
While various students are staying and studying in the IIT Mumbai hostel, a restaurant employee took a video of the student taking a bath in the hostel bathroom.
Seeing this, the student lodged a complaint with the hostel management. Following this, the IIT hostel management officials caught the person concerned and confiscated his cell phone.
Apart from this, the victim student went to the police station along with the IIT hostel management officials and filed a complaint in this regard.

The police conducted an investigation at the IIT hostel. At the end of the investigation, the IIT Mumbai restaurant employee was arrested.
The restaurant employee climbed onto the ledge near the window of the hostel bathroom and filmed the student taking a bath with his cell phone. Due to this, the students have demanded that the structures should be changed so that there are no brown spots near the bathroom window.
