A serious rear-end collision for a 55-year-old Romanian on the western motorway in St. Florian (Linz-Land district) ended fatally on Sunday morning.
“A 41-year-old Lower Austrian from the Amstetten district drove his car in the first lane of the Westautobahn towards Vienna on November 7, 2021 at around 5:10 am. At the same time, a 55-year-old Romanian citizen from Germany was driving his vehicle in the same direction. For a previously unexplained cause, the 41-year-old crashed his car into the Romanian’s car in front of him. After his arrival, the emergency doctor was only able to determine that the 55-year-old had died. the police report.
A larger number of ASFINAG emergency services and rescue workers were on duty. Fire brigade, however, was not alerted to the accident.
