The compensation regulations for residents and business owners in the Gaza Strip for Operation “Dawn” were approved today by the Finance Committee of the Knesset. The regulations provide a broad response to the indirect damage suffered by the residents of the area and the owners of the factories during the operation, when for the first time, and in accordance with the order of Prime Minister Yair Lapid, compensation will be given not only for the fighting days of the “Dawn” operation, but starting from the day the movement restrictions were imposed in the localities in the area.

Prime Minister Yair Lapid:
“The resilience shown by the residents of the Gaza Strip deserves not only appreciation, but also action. I thank the Finance Committee and Knesset member Nira Shafek for their professional work and determination to provide a response to the residents of the Strip and businesses in the area.”
