India will never win the Twenty20 World Cup; The former Indian star explained the reason
Team India is preparing for the Twenty20 World Cup starting next month. The team is currently playing a series against Australia ahead of the World Cup. India is playing a three-match Twenty20 series against Australia.
After 2013, the Indian team could not win a single ICC title. This time India is coming to change that bad name. But the team’s recent performance has not been encouraging. The team is performing poorly in the Asia Cup and the ongoing Aussie series.
The Indian team, which was eliminated in the Super Four in the Asia Cup, also lost the first match against the Aussies. Poor bowling performance is the area where the team needs to work the most. Former Indian batsman Akash Chopra has said that if India goes this way, they will not win the World Cup.
He says that Indian bowling is very weak and this performance of the bowlers is not enough to win the World Cup. Chopra also said that Chahal is not taking wickets.
‘UC Chahal bowls fast. He cannot take wickets unless he bowls slowly. India has a weak bowling line-up. You cannot win the World Cup with such bowlers. You have to win the remaining matches against Australia. Otherwise, you lose the series against a team without four key players,’ Chopra said.
India lost the first match by four wickets. India lost the toss and were put in to bat and found a good total. Playing with an attacking approach from the beginning, India scored 208 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated over. Hardik Pandya finally took over the baton left by captain Rohit Sharma.
Hardik Pandya scored 71 runs in 30 balls and KL Rahul scored 55 runs for India. Suryakumar Yadav gave them great support with 46 runs. In a match where the batsmen literally excelled, the Indian bowlers were making India work.
Cameron Green scored 61 runs for the Aussies and became the man of the match. The 23-year-old, who came out to open for the first time in his career, saw a crushing spectacle from the first over. Matthew Wade hit the death blow in the finish and scored 45 runs off 21 balls. Steve Smith, who came out third, scored 35 runs.
