Matthew Hayden says that Dinesh Karthik’s role in the Indian team is unclear and he should be demoted further.
With the Indian team combination for the T20 World Cup almost settled, the question of who will play as the wicket-keeper remains a mystery till now. Rishabh Pant was the wicket keeper of the Indian team.
But Dinesh Karthik is dropped only in the last 5 overs. He bats only 10-12 balls. That’s what he wants. The Indian team management is yet to make a firm decision on who will play as wicket keeper between Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant.
Speaking about Dinesh Karthik, Matthew Hayden said, “I wonder what Dinesh Karthik’s role is. I am not talking down about Dinesh Karthik. But he needs to bat more. He is the best player. He can get down early and play some great shots in the death overs. So he needs to be moved further up, said Matthew Hayden.
