According to Loginova, two state prosecutors called her at home and told her that she was “too prominent” on Instagram. In the post she uploaded, she wrote: “This can happen now to anyone in Russia. Prosecutors can come to your home every day. I have never touched politics and now I am facing imprisonment for managing an Instagram account.”

Now, she wants to raise awareness of how draconian social media laws affect people in Russia. “I’m going to get to the bottom of the matter. Fortunately, I have support from people who understand that this is not normal, it’s completely stupid. I want as many people as possible to know about this story. While we don’t talk about such things, I will still talk,” she wrote in the post in question. Loginova will face a trial, and it is very possible that the post she uploaded will not do her any favors.
