IPL 2023 Auction : According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to hold the auction process for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 edition by mid-December this year. According to the report, it was decided in an informal meeting between the BCCI, the IPL Governing Committee and the franchises that the auction would be held by December 16. BCCI will decide on mini-auction procedures this time as it was a mega auction last time. The location of the auction is yet to be decided. The IPL 2022 star auction was held in Bengaluru.

And cricket media Cricbuzz reports that the IPL 2022 season will begin in the last week of March. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly informed the teams that this time the matches will be organized in the pre-Covid-19 home away match format, according to the cricket media in their report. A team can spend a maximum of Rs 95 crore in the auction. But if you want to continue in the season, you have to keep 5 crores in your purse. That means, according to the calculation, a team can spend only 90 crores in the auction. Also if the franchises sell their player to the auction or to other teams then the team’s coffers can be increased accordingly.

There were also unconfirmed reports that Gujarat Titans CSK had held talks to exchange the players. There were reports on social media that Gujarat had given their opener Shubman Gill to the South Indian team and taken steps to acquire Jadeja. But both the teams denied the rumours.
