Vanuar: A young man riding a bike near Puducherry got stuck in a pile of mud and was hit by a container lorry behind him, crushing his head and died.
Narayanasamy son Saran alias Pachaiyappan, 26, hails from Annambuthur village next to Tindivanam in Villupuram district; Aeronautical engineer. He stayed in Puducherry and was working in a private company in Pattanur, Villupuram district.
As his great grandfather passed away, he went to Annambuthur the day before yesterday. Then, at 8:30 yesterday morning, he came from Annambuthur on a KTM bike, wearing a helmet, through Tindivanam-Puducherry bypass. He got stuck in a pile of mud on the road near Pattanur, and the bike tripped and fell down. At that time, the rear tire of the container lorry that came behind came on Saran’s head and he crushed his head with his helmet and died. Auroville police are investigating the matter.
