Self-employed Kaliningrad who have lost their income will receive 250 thousand rubles each

In the Kaliningrad region, self-employed citizens who have suffered from epidemiological restrictions will be paid 250 thousand rubles each. The new measure will become part of the existing mechanism to support poor Kaliningraders – a social contract. To get money, you need to contact the social security authorities.

In the westernmost Russian region, there are rather tough restrictions aimed at combating the coronavirus. The regional authorities have allocated more than 120 million rubles for anti-crisis subsidies and soft loans for entrepreneurs. And for self-employed citizens who do not always belong to business entities, but pay tax on professional income, we have developed a special support measure within the framework of the social contract mechanism. In fact, unemployed Kaliningraders wishing to register as self-employed could conclude such a contract with the social security authorities earlier, having received money to start their own business. But now the mechanism has been expanded. The number of recipients of support included citizens who have been working for themselves for a long time, but have lost orders due to epidemiological restrictions.

“We are talking about the self-employed, whose incomes have decreased over the past three months and are no more than one minimum subsistence level established in our region for 2021 for one family member,” explains Veronika Lesikova, head of the regional Ministry of Energy. – They can receive state aid in the amount of 250 thousand rubles at a time on the basis of a social contract. When running a personal subsidiary farm, the amount of such payment will be 100 thousand rubles. The money can be spent both on current expenses and on development – for example, on the purchase of equipment.
