Unborn babies love the taste of carrots: research informs

London:

Do outside world stimuli influence babies growing in the mother’s womb?

– Medical science has shown that it causes Surprisingly, it’s true.

Research scientists at Durham University in England conducted a study based on pregnant women. During this research, 35 pregnant women were given capsules (tube pills) containing carrot powder and were made to swallow them. Another 35 pregnant women were given capsules containing powdered spinach called kale and asked to swallow them.

After 20 minutes the ‘ultra scan’ of the pregnant women was taken.

They found that the fetuses of pregnant women who swallowed carrot capsules smiled, and the fetuses of pregnant women who ate spinach capsules appeared to whimper and cry. That is, carrots grab babies and keep them smiling. Lettuce keeps them whining. Watch out. The fetuses did not eat any of this. It is their mothers who are eating them.

Its influence. It has come into them.

“We have shown the first direct evidence that babies react to the flavors of the foods their mothers eat while they are still in the womb,” said researcher Beyza Ustun, head of Durham University’s Fetal and Neonatal Research Laboratory.

The researchers added, “Infants are more likely to smile when exposed to the taste of carrots, and more likely to show whiny faces when exposed to the taste of spinach. These findings have important implications for understanding the early sources of infants’ abilities to perceive and discriminate different tastes.”

Now researchers say, based on the findings, repeated exposure to certain flavors in the womb may be a factor in developing likes and dislikes for fetuses after birth.

Medical scholars say that in the same way, fetuses who grow up listening to the songs that their mothers like to listen to during pregnancy, later after coming into this world, they dance excitedly when they hear that song.

Overall, when fetuses are exposed to preferred external stimuli, they are more likely to develop well after birth.
