by time news

The media channels do not stop publishing difficult cases in the south and the security situation continues to deteriorate. The residents of the Bedouin diaspora put their weapons on the nets, bullets hit houses in Omar, crime in the entire area is on the rise and the residents are afraid to walk the streets.

About a year ago, the OMT movement warned against the deterioration of the situation in the south of the country, and the dire consequences of the loss of governance in the Negev. Further to that appeal to the officials in charge of the law enforcement system in Israel, where the OMT leaders warned that the lack of governance leads to complete anarchy in the region.

In a letter written by the chairman of OMT, Pinchas Felice Peled, and the chairman of the public council of the movement, Adv. Yitzhak Mina, to the Minister of Internal Security, the commissioner and the legal adviser to the government, they demand a significant treatment of the painful issue. “The crime The severity by the inhabitants of the Bedouin villages reaches new heights every day. Our investigation shows that the Jewish residents living in the area are in constant fear, especially at night. Recently, the children have been sleeping in shelters for fear of damage to their homes by shootings carried out by the Bedouins in an arbitrary manner.”

Felice Peled added that it is clear to everyone that the situation endangers human life, and therefore immediate action must be taken to prevent the continuation of the criminal lawlessness. He referred to the shooting incident that happened yesterday in Kibbutz Mishmar Hanegev, in which a bullet fired from a rifle hit a vehicle in the kibbutz: “The stray bullet is not accidental… the lack of governance in the wild south leads to complete anarchy.”

As mentioned, the movement appealed to the Minister of Internal Security, the Commissioner and the Legal Advisor to the Government in order to deal with the increase in serious crime in the Bedouin Diaspora area and in the south.
