“Turbulence and war can only open a Pandora’s box, and one who starts a proxy war can easily burn himself”warned Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a 21-minute speech on Saturday, September 24 at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to the Hong Kong daily South China Morning Postthis speech, “enameled with spades addressed to the United States”, stressed Beijing’s desire to “End the war in Ukraine” and reaffirmed the firmness of its policy towards Taiwan.
“No country is above another, and no country should abuse its power to bully other sovereign countries,” Wang added during the first session of the UN General Assembly since Russia invaded Ukraine last February.
