Sivakasi: Even though Vembakotta is a separate taluk, as there is no bus stand, all buses pick up and drop passengers on the road. So they expect to construct a bus stand in this area.

Vembakottai, which is a growing area, has various government offices including taluka office, union office, assistant primary education office, fire station, assistant director of agriculture office, government schools and police station. Vembakkottai is also a market for the surrounding villages, so people always visit in large numbers. There are 48 panchayats in its union.

People come and go for various needs. From Vembakottai to cities like Alankulam, Chatur, Kovilpatti, Shankarankovil, Kalgukumalai, Thiruvenkadam, government and private buses are run in large numbers. In the mornings and evenings, more than a thousand people such as government employees, school students, and firecracker workers who were out of town come to Vembakkottai by bus every day.

However, since there is no bus stand here, government and private buses pick up and drop passengers on the road itself. Passengers waiting for the bus in rainy and sunny seasons have to stand on the road and next to the shops. The new taluk office has been created with Vembakotta as the headquarters and the passengers are suffering due to lack of bus stand here. So a new bus stand should be constructed soon at Vembakkat.
