The damage to the Vanuar-Kondamur river bridge was repaired and opened for traffic. A four-lane road was constructed between Puducherry-Dindivanam for a distance of 38.620 km at a cost of Rs 273.6 crore. On this road, small and big flyovers have been constructed at important places. Damage was found in the links of Konthamur river bridge on the Puducherry road. The vehicles coming from Aruwapakkam to Kontamur Ayyanar Temple were diverted to one-way road. Yesterday evening, Kontamur river bridge repair work was completed. Vehicles were allowed to cross the bridge from yesterday morning.
