Magnus Carlsen, the number one player from Norway, has won the Julius Cup International Chess Championship. In the final of the series, Carlsen faced Indian youngster Arjun Erikkesi.

Carlson won the 2-round online final with a score of 2-0. Arjun Erikesi, who lost, took the 2nd position.

Carlson, who won the title of champion, was awarded a prize of INR 20 lakhs and Eric Ksi, who stood 2nd, was awarded INR 12 lakhs.
