Veteran astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy from Arizona revealed this stunning image of Jupiter this month after taking his best view yet of the giant planet this month, but what you see is not just a single image, it is a mixture of hundreds of thousands of images, according to the space website. .

“After spending the whole night shooting about 600,000 photos of him, I’m happy to show you my most accurate shot of Jupiter yet,” McCarthy wrote on Twitter while sharing the photo on September 17, using an 11-inch telescope and a camera I normally use for deep-sky work.

McCarthy uses software to stack multiple images taken during a photo session and the results are amazing, as he says Jupiter is always a great target for the camera’s eye.

McCarthy told the site ProfoundSpace.org In a statement: “Jupiter never gets old, it’s a wonderful planet, and although the number of images seems a lot, I was shooting them at a rate of 80 images per second, so it passed relatively quickly,” and said that it took about two hours to capture Pictures.

“Conditions were very good that night, so I saw the planet in much more detail than usual, which was very exciting,” McCarthy added.
