Col. Mil Rami Matan, who was attacked yesterday by Likud activist Rami Ben Yehuda in a demonstration at the Hamed interchange, filed a complaint against him today (Sunday) with the Israel Police for assault and threats.
As I recall, yesterday Ben Yehuda was recorded confronting protesters. According to the documentation, Ben Yehuda even attacked Ehad Matan with a fist. According to them, he even threatened them and cursed them during the confrontation. Police were called to the scene. Ben Yehuda claimed that one of the protesters hit him in the head with a stick before attacking the protester. The Likud party said in response to the incident: “We do not accept any violence from our people. The activist has been suspended until the incident is clarified.”
