Single-engine airplane crashed near Dornbirn

A sports plane with a person on board crashed in the municipality of Dornbirn on Thursday morning. According to the rescue and fire brigade control center (RFL), the single-engine machine started in fog from Hohenems airfield and, according to the police, hit the Breitenberg wall. The crash site is in impassable terrain, the emergency services have not yet arrived at the scene, according to information from the RFL around 8:40 a.m.

The rescuers try to get to the crash site from two sides. In addition to the ambulance and emergency doctor, mountain rescuers and firefighters are on the way to the scene of the accident. According to the police, the machine is a single-engine Cessna P210N. A 51-year-old was on board and his destination was Memmingen Airport (Bavaria).
