New Delhi:
The Union Ministry of Sports annually honors outstanding Indian sportsmen and women with the Major Dhyan Chand Gal Ratna Award, Arjuna Award and Dronacharya Award for the best coach and Dayan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Out of this, Gal award is given Rs.25 lakh along with certificate, Arjuna award is Rs.15 lakh and other awards are Rs.10 lakh each.
Applications for this were accepted on the website of the Union Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports from 27th August last. The last date for sending applications was announced as September 27. In this case, it has been informed that you can apply till October 1 (Saturday).
They are requested to apply through the dedicated website dbtyas-sports.gov.in. It has also been informed that applications received after October 1 will not be considered.
