Oli, the innovative “concept” of Citroën based on the Ami

by time news

The Citroën firm has been characterized throughout its history by designs that we can at least qualify as originals. One of those groundbreaking vehicles due to its aesthetics and concept is the Ami quadricycle, which little by little is taking over urban landscapes with its 100% electric proposal.

Now the brand is going further by presenting a “concept car” that following precisely in the wake of Ami expands its capabilities and versatility. It’s about the Oli [all-ë]a proposal that is actually a study of ideas, which seeks to offer “versatile and fun” electric mobility and that goes against the trend of manufacturing “heavy, complex and expensive” zero-emission family vehicles.

Citroën’s goal is to have the best life cycle in its segment thanks to reduced weight and complexity, recycled and recyclable materials, affordability, durability and long life. With a weight of 1,000 kgthis vehicle concept will be able to offer a range of 400 km, a maximum speed limited to 110 km/h to achieve maximum efficiency, with a consumption of 10 kWh/100 km and a charge from 20% to 80% in about 23 minutes.

As for the design, it has front doorsbumpers and identical protection elements, flat panels and windows and low-weight materials, resistant flat panels for the bonnet, roof and cargo area, made of cardboard panels with a honeycomb structure.

The car mounts mixed steel and aluminum wheels with sustainable and intelligent tires Goodyear Eagle GO. As for the interior, the brand defines it as spacious and innovative. As curious details, it has a crossbar as a dashboard, a “Smartband” HMI projector and “bring your own device” infotainment, in addition to comfortable seats with an office-style “mesh” backrest, washable floor and low-weight recyclable materials.
