by time news

Chabad emissaries in the burning country gathered together, for the first time since the outbreak of the war, to celebrate the introduction of a Sefer Torah in honor of the Chabad emissary in the city of Dnipro, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky, for the tremendous assistance and support he gave them over the years

In the shadow of the incessant war and in the midst of the hectic preparations for Yom Kippur and the holiday of Sukkot Baal’at, Chabad emissaries from all over Ukraine gathered for the completion of writing a Torah scroll as a sign of respect and affection for the rabbi’s emissary in the city of Dnipro, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetzky.

The rabbis of the communities and the Chabad emissaries wished to salute Rabbi Kaminetzky for the tremendous assistance and support he has given them over the past years, through the introduction of a fancy Torah scroll in his honor.

On the jacket of the Torah book, words of appreciation for Rabbi Kaminetzky were embroidered: “‘May he live long in his kingdom’ and will he continue to lead the sheep of his pasture with genius, together with his family, that they may live until the coming of our righteous Messiah. A gift from the messengers of the KK Rebbe in Ukraine.”

Rabbi Kaminetzky, despite the difficult war, did not leave his place of mission for a single moment and remained standing in the holy work, with inspiring devotion, and continued to lead his community with a high hand, despite the many challenges.

At the end of writing the letters, there was also the opportunity for the Chabad emissaries in Ukraine to meet together, to say goodbye to each other, for the first time since the outbreak of the difficult war. The emissaries shared experiences from the difficult months that have passed and their plans for the holiday month.

Rabbi Kaminetzky very excitedly expressed his appreciation to his fellow messengers for the personal and holy gesture that will surely add to the strengthening of the messengers in Ukraine and in the city of Dnipro in particular.
