Police have reported that 19 people were killed and 27 others were seriously injured in a suicide bombing attack on an educational center in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Friday morning.

The attack took place near the Dasht-e-Barchi area of ​​western Kabul, which is predominantly populated by Shia Muslims from the minority Hazara community.

Regarding the attack, Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson of Kabul Police, said that the bomb attack was carried out by the suicide squad when the students were preparing for the university examination at the educational center.

Taliban officials advised families who rushed to the scene and the hospital to disperse following information about the blast.
