Deputy representative: I was not promoted because of my testimony at the investigative committee

by time news

Deputy Superintendent of the Police Avi Tuval claimed today (Friday) that senior officers are harming his promotion because of his testimony at the state commission of inquiry into the Miron disaster. In a series of letters he sent last month to Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai, Minister of Internal Security Amr Bar-Lev and the investigative committee itself, Toval claimed that he was assigned to a marginal position, commander of a control center, where he is supposed to serve as first deputy superintendent, while he has completed two deputy superintendent positions and his evaluations are high.

Toval was the head of the patrol section of the police at the time of the disaster, and in his testimony before the investigative committee, he said that TNA Morris Chen tried to put the responsibility on him with the help of a fabricated document.

The police stated in response: “We do not intend to comment on unfounded and repeated rumors and claims heard by those who try to harm the Israel Police. The appointment procedure in the police is orderly and controlled.”
