The South Indian Actors Association elections were held in June 2019. In that, Pandavar team led by Nasser and Swami Sankaradas team led by K. Bhagyaraj competed. There was a lot of confusion at that time that this election should not be held. However, the election was held on 23rd June 2019.

Subsequently, the High Court had banned half-counting of votes in that election. As a result, votes remained uncounted for two and a half years. In this situation, on March 20, the votes of the actors’ union were counted as per the order of the High Court. The team led by Nasser won. Subsequently, the Pandavar team including Nasser Vishal and Karthi took oath.

In this case, to K. Bhagyaraj on behalf of the actor’s association last August Show Cause Notice sent. Some of the Sangam members have sent letters asking for disciplinary action against them for spreading false and untruthful ideas about the newly appointed administration and the election. It was decided to take a decision on this in the executive committee and seek an explanation as to why you should not be removed from the membership of the association.
