R. L. A 13-year-old boy who celebrated Bar Mitzvah last month, felt ill during his stay at Tor Haruch Bikiza from Ukraine to Poland and was taken to the hospital.

After spending the holiday in Zion Rabbi Nachman of Breslav in Uman, along with over 20 thousand other visitors, the boy’s family decided to leave Uman as soon as possible to avoid trouble and a large burden.

The family left Amman shortly after the holiday, and at 11 the next morning, the morning of the Gedaliah fast, they arrived in Lviv after a long journey. She did not wait long, and almost immediately continued towards the border with Poland, which was crowded with many people who wanted to leave Ukraine.

The line progressed at a very slow pace, and the Ukrainians did not do their best to help tourists and residents cross the border quickly, and only one of the three checkpoints was active. Residents of the European Union could go through a shortened route intended for them, but the boy’s family had to stand on their feet in the scorching sun for no less than 5 hours.

During the long time he stood in line, the boy began to feel ill. He complained of headaches, had difficulty staying alert, could not stand on his feet for a long time and vomited a few times. Due to his bad condition, he broke the first fast he was obliged to do when he entered the yoke of mitzvah.

During the queue, a group of Israeli tourists saw the boy’s deteriorating condition, and explained that he needed an urgent transfusion. Soon an ambulance arrived and evacuated the boy to the Polish city of Przemyśl, near the Poland-Ukraine border. The hospital staff treated the boy well, and he received an infusion. After about 3 hours of treatment, he was released in good condition, and the family continued on their way to Krakow, from where they flew to Israel.
