Fin September, it is the harvest of world cinema. Each country wishing to win the prestigious statuette of the Oscar for best foreign film (the assurance of being distributed and seen throughout the world) must choose its candidate. Morocco has decided: The blue of the caftan will represent it at the 2023 Oscars. According to Academy regulations, each country must choose a film released before September 30. The work of Maryam Touzani, twice awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, in the section “Un certain regard”, leaves for Hollywood in pre-selection. Five films will be chosen to compete there.
