New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs said that 13 more people who were held hostage by terrorists in Myanmar have escaped. It is reported that 13 of those who escaped today are natives of Tamil Nadu. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi informed that all have reached New Delhi.

More than 100 people have been taken hostage by a local armed terrorist group in the Mayawadi region of Myanmar. Last week, 32 people were rescued. It is also reported that four of the remaining escaped by paying money. There are indications that 70 more people are in the hands of terrorists.

It was discovered that foreigners including Indians who came to Myanmar after getting data entry jobs were trapped by fake companies in a remote network. The survivors informed that all Rays were used for illegal activities including hacking at the global level.

All arrived in Myanmar through agents in India, Thailand and the UAE. Recruitment has been done in the name of fake company from India, China, Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the young people were brought to the Myanmar border by mistaking that they would get visas for Thailand.
