Gref proposed to limit the use of gadgets by children using AI

The head of Sberbank, German Gref, considers it necessary to develop norms to restrict Internet content for children, and, in his opinion, artificial intelligence should undertake the verification of the implementation of these norms. He told about this in an interview with TASS.

“I am in favor of strict control over the content that gets to children. In general, this is such a very delicate area, and I would, the only thing, urge it to be prioritized. It cannot be postponed. Today we are in a situation that, in my opinion, is already poorly acceptable for further delay. There is so much content that no state censorship can solve this, therefore, norms must be adopted, the verification of which must be undertaken by the same artificial intelligence, “said Mr. Gref. As an example, he cited the series “Squid Game”, which has “adult” content, but many children, including his own, have already watched it.

According to him, now it is almost impossible to pick up a gadget from a junior student. “Psychologists say that the digital self of the child has been formed, and in this digital self, the gadget is its native organ. And such a violent deprivation of a gadget leads to the fact that the child perceives this as the loss of some organ of his own. And this is also a psychological trauma, ”he said. At the same time, in his opinion, contacts of preschool children with gadgets should be minimized as much as possible.

When asked by a journalist whether he himself uses AI in everyday life, the head of Sberbank replied that he does it every day. “We have artificial intelligence systems that prioritize everything from the tasks in my schedule to the priority of my study of the questions that I receive, say, by e-mail,” he said.

Several dozen companies and organizations, including Sberbank, Rostelecom, Yandex, Rosatom, Skolkovo, InfoWatch, MTS, VK, Gazprom Neft, RDIF and NRU HSE signed the first Russian code of ethics for artificial intelligence …
