Rumors about the return of the long denim skirt have been circulating for several weeks. Now that the local weather is starting to align with thoughts about wearing jeans in general, it’s also possible to address this somewhat controversial fall trend.
The last fashion weeks confirmed the strengthening of the status of the item that makes a return to the center of the stage every few seasons. The long skirt that sweeps the floor stars in different collections such as that of Ghani and Levis, and also in the latest shows of brands such as Altozara.
Outside the various displays it was already possible to see how the long skirt was integrated into the seasonal street style. Danish blogger Emily Sineldev attracted the photographers’ lenses when she arrived dressed in a long denim skirt to the Khaite brand show at New York Fashion Week. Even during the fashion week in Copenhagen, the skirt had a super increased presence. Gigi Hadid is the latest celebrity to adopt the trend, and she went all out by combining it with another strong trend – the low cut.
In Israel, the long skirt is directly associated with ‘dosy-chic’, but it is an item with a global fashion aura – one that dims from time to time, then gets stronger again and makes headlines. This season you can see the predominance of long skirts with a slit (structured or one created with the help of a row of buttons) and of skirts with boho touches at the level of fine fabrics or patches. The bohemian style naturally gives birth to many combinations with cowboy boots – another fall trend that is worth riding.
