The knitted commander of the Agoz unit went on an operation on Yom Kippur: shooting at close range

IDF and Shin Bet forces arrested during Yom Kippur a terrorist suspected of involvement in the shooting attack on an Israeli bus and taxi near Nablus last Sunday. The fighters of the Agoz unit were jumped into the operation together with the commander of the unit, Lt. Col. M.

The commander of the Aguz unit, Lt. Col. M., told about the arrest of the terrorist today: “During Yom Kippur, the Aguz unit was sent to the Shomron military to arrest the terrorist who carried out the attack at the beginning of the week. We made an arrest in broad daylight while engaging the terrorist at close range until he surrendered and was arrested. We will continue to act in order to provide security to the residents.”

During the activity in the village, shots were fired at IDF forces from several locations. The forces responded by firing at the sources of the gunfire, a number of gunmen were hit and one terrorist was killed as a result of the forces firing. After the exchange of fire, the wanted man surrendered and handed himself over to IDF soldiers on the spot. The wanted man and the M-16 type weapon he used were transferred to the General Security Service for further investigation.
