Nebo Dor, whose family-owned packinghouse burned down on the night of Yom Kippur, spoke today (Thursday) to Kan Network B about the severe damage and the sense of frustration. In an interview with Tali Moreno and Akiva Novik on the Mornovik show, he said: “The life work of an entire family has been burned, it is a loss of tens of millions of shekels.” Dor referred to the possibility that this was arson on a nationalist background and claimed: “I was never approached with a demand for sponsorship fees. This is agricultural terrorism.”
On the night of Yom Kippur, the “Good Land” farm owned by the Dor family in Moshav Machola in the Jordan Valley caught fire. The economy was completely burned.
Deputy Tafsar Avishi Shapir, commander of the Shomron regional station, said: “At night, a report was received at the Yosh control center about a fire in an agricultural farm in the village of Machola.” Many teams from the Samaria Regional Station were immediately dispatched to the scene, as well as assistance from the North District. When the teams arrived at the scene, they identified a central building in the farm that is used, among other things, to store goods before marketing that caught fire,” he said, “The main firefighting efforts were to contain the fire so that it would not spread to nearby buildings and greenhouses. The police spokeswoman for Shi District said that the police have opened an investigation into the suspicion of setting fire to the packaging house and that the suspicion is growing that the place was deliberately set on fire.
